The Chancellor said he expects 650,000 homes to be upgraded thanks to a £3bn programme to upgrade public buildings and housing. The green homes grant involves the homeowner receiving up to £5,000 insulation vouchers, with some of the poorer households eligible for up to £10,000. This will come into force towards the end of September.

Tradespeople are required to have TrustMark approval in order to sign up for this scheme. We are proud to say we have approval from the scheme, giving you total confidence that we are a reliable company.

How Does It Work?

In place from September, the Green Homes Grant will work with online applications. Once you have applied for your energy-saving home insulation, we will then provide you with a quote. When this is approved, you will receive a voucher to cover the costs.

Our products promote a sustainable, energy-efficient solution. The government grant will ensure we can continue our environmentally-friendly installations. As well as this, it means that our customers can keep their energy bills lower, saving hundreds of pounds by reducing your energy usage.

The grant will help towards at least two-thirds of home improvements. For those in lower-income households, the entire cost will be covered by the government. This could be up to £10,000 grant for insulation. About half the overall fund is dedicated to helping the poorer communities and those worst hit by the pandemic.

What Are The Vouchers Used For?

The vouchers must be used for at least one primary measure. This can be an insulation measure and/or a low carbon heating measure. By choosing at least one of the primary measures, you can use the voucher towards the costs of a secondary measure.

For example, if get £400 for a primary measure, such as solid wall insulation, you can receive a maximum of £400 for a secondary measure, such as double glazing (to replace single glazing).

Benefits of Home Insulation

Insulation hosts a wealth of benefits for homeowners. Your house will retain a warm, comfortable atmosphere with better-insulated walls, replacement boilers and central heating.

With better insulation comes less reliance on keeping the heating on constant. This will help lower your energy bills, saving you money over time. Along with the government scheme, you could be saving significantly more.

Home insulation reduces carbon emissions right from the manufacturing process. It takes less energy to fabricate, is quick and easy to install and it cuts the carbon emissions produced.

Our Services Included in the Grant: Primary Measures

Solid Wall Insulation

Internal Wall Insulation

This type of insulation is an ideal solution for those wanting a warmer and more comfortable home. The insulation is fitted on a room-by-room basis, fitted in the interior walls. The innovative manufacturing combines composite studs and insulation slabs. These provide a thick, better-insulated system that doesn’t have the bulk that older designs have.

Internal wall insulation is incredibly easy to install than some other methods. The process is efficient, our team will take you through each step of the process. We won’t impact on your schedule, taking away any hassle when fitting the insulation. This type will retain the heat throughout your property and save on your energy bills.

External Wall Insulation

External wall insulation is one of the most effective ways of keeping warmth circulating your property. With underperforming, uninsulated exterior walls, around 45% of energy can be lost. Our insulation will help reduce energy loss and lower your fuel bills.

External wall insulation works by wrapping the building in a thermally resistant covering internally. This will reduce damp, mould and condensation, and better weatherproof your property. We use premium grade materials to keep heat loss at a minimum. With high-quality materials, you are making a worthwhile investment with our insulation.

Cavity Wall Insulation

This type of insulation is expertly fitted within the cavity that sits in the walls of the property. This works to retain warmth and prevent the outside conditions from lowering the internal temperature. We fit this on older properties, yet it can be fitted in new builds too.

The work we carry out is known as bead insulation. This involves beads being pumped into the wall through small holes. The holes are then sealed with a closure to ensure they will offer exceptional energy efficiency. They are covered to seamlessly match the look of the existing decor.

Roof Insulation

Loft Insulation

Take advantage of your loft space with this type of insulation. As heat travels upwards, you can reduce the amount of heat escaping your property with our loft insulation. The insulation prevents hassle and stress as we install quickly, efficiently and with great care.

Loft insulation can fundamentally save you on your energy costs. As it keeps your home at the optimum temperature, there is less need to use your heating. By using less energy will reduce your carbon emissions to help benefit the environment in line with the government’s sustainability plans.

Underfloor Insulation

This is an exceptional method of insulation to lower your energy bills. Significant heat loss can occur through the floor is not properly insulated. You can reduce this and enjoy a more comfortable home with our underfloor insulation.

The insulation method we use is for suspended floors. This is where the insulation is fitted below ground, in between the joists holding up the floor. Not only does it retain heat, but it works to keep damp and condensation from occurring, as well as reducing external noise.

Secondary Measures

Double Glazing

We offer a range of double glazing products, which is included in the Green Homes Grant scheme, when replacing single glazing. Our windows and doors are manufactured to the highest standard, offering exceptional performance once installed by our fantastic team.

The double glazing we install is secure, durable and in particular, thermally efficient. This is fundamental with the scheme, which states that the home improvements must be environmentally friendly and reduce the energy used.
